How does a Prepaid Card Work?

A prepaid card is an alternative banking product that only lets you spend the money you load onto the card. Unlike traditional debit cards, however, you don't need a bank account to use a prepaid card.

What mobile application is used for BankIT Prepaid Card?

To use BankIT Prepaid Card, you can download the BankIT PAY Application from Google Play store.

How to download the BankIT PAY Application?

Please follow these steps to download BankIT Pay application:
Step 1: Please visit Google play store on your mobile.
Step 2: Now search “BankIT Pay” in the search bar.
Step 3: Select the application and click on the “Install” button.
Step 4: After the installation you can open the BankIT Pay application

How to set login PIN (MPIN) of BankIT pay application?

Please follow these steps to set MPIN BankIT Pay application:
Step 1: Please open the "Bankit Pay" application.
Step 2: Enter your registered mobile number.
Step 3: Now enter the OTP that you've received on your Registered mobile no.
Step 4: Enter your MPIN and reconfirm it.
Congratulations, you have successfully set your Mpin.

How to upgrade or downgrade spend limits on the BankIT Pay application?

Please follow these steps to upgrade spending limits:
Step 1: Please login to the Bankit Pay application.
Step 2: Click on the icon “Set Limit”.
Step 3: Select your preferred card and click on “Submit” button.
Step 4: Now you can upgrade the spend limit for different platforms i.e., ATM, POS, ECOM.
(Note: - Min KYC users need to set spend limit Under 10000.)

Can the Prepaid card ATM PIN be changed? How do I set my ATM Pin for my BankIT Prepaid Card?

Please follow these steps to set up a new ATM pin:
Step 1: Please login to the Bankit Pay application.
Step 2: Click on the icon “View Card”.
Step 3: Now select the Pin reset option.
Step 4: Please enter the pin that you want to set and expiry date as mentioned on the card itself.
Press on submit, Congratulations, you have successfully set your ATM pin.

How can I load/recharge funds in my card?

A cardholder can load and reload the funds in his card through the BankIT cardholder app which accept all payment gateways such as debit card, credit card, net banking , UPIs.

Please follow these steps to recharge/load your card:
Step 1: Please login to the Bankit Pay Application.
Step 2: Click on the icon “Card Load”.
Step 3: Enter the decided amount (Should be under 2000 INR/Transaction)
Step 4: Select any UPI mode to complete the payment.
Step 5: After completing the payment, the amount will be reflected in your card

Difference between an ATM pin and MPIN. ?

MPIN can also be referred as “Mobile Login pin” which allows the user to access the Bankit Pay application. However, ATM pin allows you to complete the transaction at POS or ATM.

What is the validity period of my Card?

Your Prepaid card is valid for 3 years. The same is available on the front view of your card.

Can I use my Prepaid card in foreign countries?

No, BankIT prepaid card can be used in India only.

Can I withdraw cash from my Prepaid Card?

Yes, ATM withdrawal is available, but applicable charges will be levied.

Is there a load/recharge amount limit?

Yes, Card balance cannot be more than ₹ 200000/- at any given point of time for full KYC customers.

What are the charges/fees over different merchants for BankIT Prepaid card Transaction?

Surcharges & Fees applied (Per Transaction) is as below–
a) ATM Withdrawal - 20 INR
b) Spend on Fuel - 1% (excluding tax)
c) Spend on Railways - 10 INR
d) Spend on Government - 2.5% or 10 INR, whichever is higher (excluding tax)
Note: T&C Applied : These are not the fixed charges, some charges are merchant specific.

In case I've lost my card? Whom should I contact if my card is lost or stolen?

First login to the BankIT Pay application and go to View Card to deactivate your card to prevent unauthorised access.
In case of card lost or stolen, immediately call the Phone Banking number mentioned on the backside of your card and report the loss of your card.

How to avail exclusive offers using the BankIT Pay application?

User can visit the offer section area for latest upcoming Brand offers and discount coupon Codes, by clicking on Menu button at the upper left corner of the App on the home screen.

How do I refresh my wallet balance on BankIT Pay App?

User can refresh the wallet balance by clicking on the refresh button, which is just next to available balance shown on the Homepage.

How to check your transaction history on the BankIT Pay Application?

User can check the transaction history by clicking on the “Card Report” on the homescreen of the BankIT Pay Application.

What do I do, in case I've forgotten my application login pin (Mpin)?

Please follow these steps to set a new pin:
Step 1: Please open the "Bankit Pay" application.
Step 2: Enter your registered mobile number.
Step 3: As you don't remember the Login Pin, please select the 3 dots on the upper right corner.
Step 4: Select the 1st option "Forgot Login Pin".
Step 5: Now enter the OTP that you've received on your Registered mobile no.
Step 6: Set your Pin as per your choice.
Congratulations, you have successfully set your Mpin.
